Dental surgery
Definition
The most common surgical procedures, such as simple tooth extractions, are carried out by all the dentists at the Smile and Care dental centres in Grand-Saconnex and Eaux-Vives. The high-quality training they receive, as well as their acquired experience, enables them to carry out the most common surgical procedures.
In our clinics, more complex surgical procedures require the experience of a specialist who practises exclusively dental surgery.
Dental extractions
This procedure involves removing a tooth from its socket (jawbone) when it is impossible to preserve the tooth or it is harmful to oral health.
It is a common procedure performed under local anaesthetic and with the utmost care at Smile and Care.
Dental cyst removal
This is a surgical procedure to remove a cyst formed around a tooth or around the surrounding tissue.
These cysts, which are often linked to dental infections or untreated diseases, can lead to complications if they are not treated quickly.
Endodontic surgery
This procedure is used to treat persistent infections or lesions at the tip of a dental root, when conventional endodontic treatments are not sufficient.
It aims to preserve the natural tooth by eliminating infectious foci while maintaining the health of the surrounding structure.
